The aim of the Community Workers’ Co-operative is to promote and support community work as a means of addressing poverty, social exclusion and inequality and ultimately as a means of achieving social change that will contribute to the creation of a more just, sustainable and equal society
The CWC currently has four strategic priorities:
- To work to embed quality community work in practice and policy
- To resource community work through the provision of analysis on existing, new and emerging issues
- To contribute to the development of structures that support and enablen quality community work
- To ensure the sustainability and further development of the CWC
