CWC brief on LCDP implementation models
The CWC have issued a briefing on the Local and Community Development Programme Implementation Models. The CWC have also written a letter to the Minister for Community, Equality and Gaeltacht Affairs seeking clarification on a number of issues that CWC members and others in the community sector have been raising as issues of confusion and concern.
Minister Carey issues press release on the LCDP
The Minister for Community, Equality and Gaeltacht Affairs, Pat Carey, has said that Community Development Projects (CDPs) and Local Development Companies (LDCs) have 'nothing to fear' from the new LCDP model of integration which is being applied to the sector.
National Meeting of Stakeholders in Community Development February ’10
In February 2010, the participants of the national meeting of Stakeholders in Community Development (December '09) reconvened. Again organised by the Community Workers' Cooperative(CWC), the meeting was attended by over seventy people representing a wide range of stakeholders in community development.
